TQ Systems KTX2

Mode S Transponder

Available in 2-3 weeks

The KTX2 mode S transponder is like all Dittel Avionik a highly efficient device. During the development the following parameters have been taken in account:

  • low weight of only 360 g
  • minimal power consumption
  • low cost

These parameters are the argument especially for gliders, ultralight aircraft and balloons, to be equipped with the KTX2. The current consumption of a Mode-S transponder is generally an indication which depends on numerous of parameters. In Mode S operation in busy airspace it can cause a high rate of queries per minute. In this case, the transponder will respond accordingly and frequently increasing the total energy consumption.?In the technical data we provide to you data you can trust when you designing a battery-operated system.

The installation of the KTX2 is quite simple. The panel cutout corresponds to the standard 57 mm. The body length of only 144 mm allows plenty of room for the handling in full panels and greatly simplifies the installation.

The installation of a level encoder may be omitted, of course. The KTX2 has already an integrated high – precision pressure sensor. Just connect the hose from the ‘static port’, hang up antenna and power supply and that was the whole installation.

Trig TT21

Mode S Transponder, 130W, 57mm, w/ Install. Kit

Available in 2-3 weeks

The TT21 is a two part transponder system, which includes an integrated altitude encoder. In design and technology the TT21 is identical to the TT22; the only difference is that the transmitted output power of the TT21 is lower, qualifying the unit as a Class 2 transponder. Class 2 transponders may be used on aircraft cruising slower than 175 knots, and operating below 15,000 feet, IFR or VFR.

The front panel controller is smaller than a standard instrument, and the remote transponder is not much bigger than a pack of cards. The TT21 can fit into the smallest of aircraft – and yet it is fully certified and compliant with all the transponder requirements.

The TT21 can be mounted in a standard 57 mm (2 1/4 inch) instrument hole, or where space is really tight, in a compact mounting just 42 mm high.

The TT21 is TSO approved for fitting to European and FAA registered aircraft.

Trig TT31

Mode S Transponder, w/ Install. Kit

Available in 2-3 weeks

TT31 is suitable for direct upgrade of the popular KT76.

The TT31 is a power-efficient, inexpensive, Mode S transponder that meets the European elementary surveillance requirements. The TT31 fits in the same mounting tray as the KT76A transponder, making it a great choice for either upgrades or new installations.

The TT31 is TSO approved for fitting to European and FAA registered aircraft. A software upgrade (expected by end of 2010) and a connection to an appropriate GPS will make the TT31 compliant with the FAA final rule on ADS-B.

All Mode S transponder upgrades for EASA certified aircraft must be carried out by a licensed engineer using a Minor Change approved by EASA. The TT31 plug and play design minimises the cost and downtime for the upgrade, and our library of pre-approaved Minor Changes for popular aircraft types means that for many customers there are no EASA fees to pay either!
