Obtaining the flight instructor licence for the Ultra light category requires 20 hours theoretical training, 10 hours of flight training and an flight test by an approved HCAA examiner.
Prerequisites of a ultra light candidate flight instructor:
- Flight experience of at least 200 hours as Pilot in Command for Ultra light.

- R/T Permit.
