Aeroshell W100 is an ashless dispersant specifically developed for aviation piston engines and combines non-metallic additives with selected high viscosity index base oils to give exceptional stability, dispersancy and anti-foaming performance.
Aeroshell W100 is a lighter weight piston engine oil ideal for aircraft which are frequently flown during the colder months. No general rule exists for every engine type when choosing the correct grade of oil however, based on the average ambient outside temperature at engine start-up the most common grades are SAE 40, SAE 50 and SAE 60, which equates to AeroShell Oil W80, W100 and W120 respectively.

Aeroshell W80 aircraft oil is a lighter weight oil for colder months in aircraft which are frequently flown. AeroShell Oils W80, W100 and W120 are ashless dispersant oils specifically developed for aviation piston engines.
They combine non-metallic additives with selected high viscosity index base oils to give exceptional stability, dispersancy and anti-foaming performance. No general rule exists for every engine type when choosing the correct grade of oil; however, based on the average ambient outside temperature at engine start-up the most common grades are SAE 40, SAE 50 and SAE 60, which equates to AeroShell Oil W80, W100 and W120 respectively. Traditionally, the choice is associated with climatic zones – AeroShell W80 for cold climate regions (-17 – 21°C), AeroShell Oil W100 for temperate regions (15 – 30°C) and AeroShell Oil W120 for warmer climates (above 26°C).

AeroShell W80 Plus is a single grade aircraft oil with anti-corrosion and anti-wear additive package developed for use in colder months.
Building on the success of AeroShell Oil W 100 Plus, AeroShell W 80 Plus introduces the anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives of its “big brother” in a lighter, single grade oil for use in colder climates. The anti-wear additive, equivalent to the Lycoming LW16702, reduces wear on start up by forming a microscopic layer on the engine’s moving parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact when there is little oil present. Combined with the protection of a corrosion inhibitor, it’s designed for those pilots who fly in cooler weather or less frequently. AeroShell Oil W 80 Plus is the new cold-weather product for those pilots who prefer single grade oils but who also want the extra protection that performance-proven anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives can bring.

AeroShell Turbine Oil 308 is a 3 mm2/s synthetic ester oil incorporating additives to improve resistance to oxidation and corrosion and to minimise wear.
AeroShell Turbine Oil 308 was developed specifically for use in particular models of aircraft turbo-prop and turbo-jet engines for which a MIL-PRF- 7808 oil is required. AeroShell Turbine Oil 308 contains a synthetic ester oil and should not be used in contact with incompatible seal materials and it also affects some paints and plastics. Refer to the General Notes at the front of this section for further information.

AeroShell Turbine Oil 390 was developed primarily as an improved 3 mm2/s oil for British turbo-jet engines to meet DEF STAN 91-94 but is fully approved for a wide range of turbine engines.
AeroShell Turbine Oil 390 is a 3 mm2/s synthetic diester oil incorporating a carefully selected and balanced combination of additives to improve thermal and oxidation stability and to increase the load carrying ability of the base oil. More recently, because of the low temperature characteristics of Turbine Oil 390 , there is interest in using this oil in auxiliary power units (APU) in order to overcome the effects of cold soak. Normal practice is to shut down the APU during cruise, the APU then experiences cold soak, often prolonged, and when the unit is started there is considerable difficulty resulting in the unit not coming up to speed in the given time, thus causing a hung start.

AeroShell Turbine Oil 500 was developed to meet the requirements of Pratt & Whitney 521 B Type II and MIL -L-23699 specifications and is entirely suitable for all civil and military engines requiring this class of lubricant.
AeroShell Turbine Oil 500 is Second Generation Synthetic Turbine Engine oil, a 5 centistoke synthetic hindered ester oil incorporating additives to improve thermal and oxidational stability and also metal passivation. AeroShell 500 maintains viscosity and protects components more effectively under the high shear stresses that a turbine engine places on lubricants. The outstanding high temperature and oxidation stability of Turbine Oil 500 is due to the natural properties of the synthetic hindered ester base fluids used.
